We make new things, just for you.

One of the most amazing things about the British is our ability to invent. From the Steam Engine to the computer, amazing materials and vaccines, the list is long and only getting longer.

But many inventions never make it to market or get beyond somebody having a great idea or spotting a problem that needs solving. Having an idea or vision of what a product might look like or function is not the same as having the skills or knowledge to bring the product to life.

To help people or small businesses that have an idea for a new product or invention Weird Jelly is now launching our Product Prototyping Service.

We work with CAD and 3D Printing, Electronics design and software. User Experience and interface design (UX / UI)

For the Prototype we offer.

A 3D printed enclosure or appropriate commercial enclosure

A Programmed device that can respond to an input and give an output. The inputs will typically be buttons or switches, movement or one of the miriad of sensors that can detect movement or light, temperature or many other physical quantities. The output can be LED lights, sound or display on a screen.

Devices that we work with include the Raspberry Pi, the Raspberry Pi pico microcontroller and the range of ESP32 devices. Don’t worry if these don’t mean anything to you, we will have a chat and discuss the best option for the prototype.

You will be supplied with the physical device. All software, diagrams, schematics and 3D CAD models and Bill of materials to re-crreate the device and to be able to make changes.

Our prototype is the first stage in taking your vision into reality.

We will typically spend 40 hours upto a maximum of 50 hours to develop your prototype at a fixed cost of £4000.

To begin work we ask for an initial payment of £500 and the balance to be paid at the end of the project. Upon payment all deliverables will be supplied.
